Job Description

Overview

This role is primarily responsible for optimizing raw materials planning, including vendor direct and third-party items, and production planning-scheduling to ensure all customer requirements are met in a timely manner while optimizing the use of available capacity and minimizing working capital requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day to day business processes across the Planning function.
  • Ensure optimized inventory level management of raw and packaging materials to ensure that customer requirements are met on a timely manner.
  • Responsible for managing US$200MM COGS.
  • Manage and optimize planning parameters for finished goods, intermediate products, raw and packaging materials and intercompany items.
  • Review customer orders against forecast and raw material availability in order to commit or roll customer requirements against the defined 25% tolerance.
  • Review and align feasibility of demand change requests.
  • Develop and maintain production order policies to optimise plant efficiency and working capital requirements while ensuring product availability to meet customer demands and efficient utilization of 3PL spaces.
  • Develop and maintain raw materials safety stock and replenishment policies to ensure raw materials availability and optimization of working capital.
  • Continuous process improvements in raw materials and production planning areas.
  • Contribute to and provide leadership for inventory reduction strategies, including participating / leading monthly inventory review process to provide consolidated reports for financial reporting and risk assessment.
  • Develop, maintain and analyze a comprehensive suite of KPIs to monitor performance and ensure targets are achieved.
  • Develop, Lead and Motivate the Supply Planning team. Develop strength within the group through coaching and training to ensure targets are met.
  • Lead implementation of training plans to ensure coverage across all areas for direct reports.
  • Work cross functionally to develop mechanisms that will improve quality, provide realistic schedules, standardize processes and reduce costs.
  • Participate in development and implementation of new area processes and improvements.
  • Meet all internal and external compliance responsibilities including Purchasing Policy requirements, GCS, SOX & AIBI.
  • Adherence to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements is a requirement of this role.
  • Any other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education or Professional Certifications- Strong academic credentials – Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent qualification in related discipline- Six Sigma certification will be an advantage
  • Experience- 8 years of experience in materials and/or production planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment- Previous experience in a supervisory role- Demonstration of analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and job skills- Proven track record on planning capabilities- Strong business acumen with an ability to drive and make good business decisions that are typically complex and broad in nature- Experience in SAP e.g SAP PP / MM modules, PowerBI and Tableau- Strong MS Office literacy, particularly in Excel- Ability to draw insights from data to drive the right action(s)- Competency in process improvement, Loss Analysis / Loss-Elimination and Lean Six Sigma would be an added advantage
  • Soft skills- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with senior stakeholders- Strong aptitude and interest in people leadership but also able to influence and align teams- Have analytical skill, complimented by strong / soft relationship management skill- Ability to work cross functionally and influence other- Self-starter, well organized, with attention to detail with ability to work on own initiative- Ability to bring others together
