Your mission:

In this role, you will oversee the import logistics execution for inbound finished goods and raw materials into local markets. You will ensure smooth operations by maintaining monitoring reports that track the flow of these goods. Additionally, you will play a key role in resolving transport and customs issues by coordinating with procurement, transport providers, customs brokers, and local logistics to minimize disruptions and ensure timely deliveries, supporting both customer service and supply planning.

Note this is a temporary position with a duration of 1 year.

Responsibilities

Your day to day with us:

  • Oversee order capture from export sites, ensuring smooth transportation and timely delivery while handling customs exceptions.
  • Collect and verify export/import documents, ensuring they align with current customs, health, and trade regulations.
  • Track invoice registration to guarantee timely payments to carriers and customs brokers.
  • Allocate transportation costs for Spain-Portugal shipments, checking rates, fuel charges, and pallet counts to maintain accurate cost structures.
  • Update and report on raw materials and finished goods inbound flow, sharing insights with key stakeholders up to Director level.
  • Collaborate with hauliers, procurement, transport planning, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve inbound transportation challenges affecting service, costs, or operations.
  • Keep visibility on inbound stock status and haulier performance through KPIs and tracking mechanisms.
  • Contribute to the annual tender process by providing data and assisting in the selection of new transport partners.
Qualifications

What will you need to succeed?

  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, particularly transport planning and execution in an export/import environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with ERP, transport planning systems and SAP is a plus!
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation, shipping terms, and payment methods.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
