 We are looking for an Operational Purchasing Supervisor to join our Global Procurement team based in Istanbul and will directly report to Tactical Buying Leader.

Responsibilities

Operational Purchasing Supervisor has as main objective to: Execution of the spot & tactical buying process that includes supplier selection, negotiation with suppliers, reporting of savings and to enable the delivery of productivity through understanding of local market needs.

The role has overall responsibility for coordination, harmonization and optimization across TR POC team excl Capex and is responsible for the correct administration and procurement operations in HQ BIS , Marketing and Sales and additionally responsible for 6 plants import processes.

  • Execute standardized tactical buying processes, use of appropriate tactical buy tools and negotiations.
  • Identify potential vendors and obtain quotes as needed according to the company’s policy.
  • Achieve targets and maintain the appropriate control environment to secure quality and service standards.
  • Leading the Demand Generation activities in driving spend into the pipeline
  • Responsible for all Import materials Purchasing process
  • Preparing and presenting reports on processes and Controls
  • Use tactical buy system (myBUY) to process requests and to increase adoption.
  • Support to deliver on Continuous Improvement agenda and myBUY automation target.
  • Support all stakeholders in working with the tactical buy system(myBUY) tool and procurement process with training and related communication & feedbacks.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage implementation of projects that will generate productivity and/or improved service levels.
  • Lead and organize regular meetings with stakeholders to follow up the issues and discuss on new opportunity areas to improve the process / to find out new productivity areas.
  • Work closely with all POC members & EP local Strategy Buyers & myBUY extended team & stakeholders to improve and simplify the process and increase productivity opportunities.
  • Bi-Monthly Ops Calls – preparation and review – responsible for accuracy of data presented and follow up on Action plan from the call
Qualifications
  • University graduate (related Business/Engineering degree)
  • At least 3-4 years of Purchasing experience
  • Procurement and analytical background
  • Good interpersonal skills (needs to be able to build relationships with suppliers / stakeholders on a regular basis)
  • ERP (SAP / ARIBA) experience
  • Good IT (procurement) skills. PC (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication/negotiation skills.
  • Analytical problem solving skills
  • At least intermediate English level (good enough for business verbal and in writing )
  • At least 3 years of experience in the area of importation and custom clearance in Turkey
  • Comfortable working within complex matrix organization
  • Able to travel to market locations
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change effort
  • Multi cultural work experience
  • Ability to work with, communicate with, and influence individuals from varying groups and levels.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint necessary for effective communication and presentations.
