Overview

As an Industrial Designer for PepsiCo Beverages Design, you are responsible for the strategic execution of comprehensive structural packaging design programs and platforms within the PepsiCo Beverages US (PBUS) portfolio.

In particular, you will translate our brand traits into actionable 3D designs of our future bottle and can platforms in materials ranging from PET, aluminum, glass and beyond.

You will leverage your design thinking capabilities, your deep understanding of technical and manufacturing requirements, new sustainability solutions and your creative skillsets to help unlock complex structural packaging opportunities through to commercialization.

You will demonstrate superior ability to inspire and influence key stakeholders to the value of each design themes. Through this, you have the opportunity to influence and to change how people engage with our brands and how we redefine the future beverage experience with our packaging.

Responsibilities
  • Structural Packaging Design & Development: Responsible for inspirational mood boards, frameworks, ideation / sketch development, concept/form development, 3D CAD development, 3D printing and prototyping.
  • Deep understanding of the form-factor exploration, with great sketching ability and modeling skills.
  • Deep understanding of engineering processes and product manufacturability.
  • Deep curiosity to leverage and to grow our current prototyping capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $76,900 - $128,700.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of fulltime Product and Brand design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree(s) in Industrial Design or Product Design preferred but not required
  • Extraordinary design skills
  • Strong design and development process
  • Extraordinary knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering
  • Extraordinary form-factor exploration, great sketching ability and modeling skills
  • Deep understanding of engineering processes and product manufacturability
  • Good communicator that presents their ideas clearly and with conviction
  • Excellent, creative problem solving
  • Strong conceptual designing skills
  • Passion for sustainability
  • Excellent presentation skills across all levels
  • Taking an idea beyond theory and analysis into execution
  • Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
  • Works well with others to deliver results; keeps others informed to avoid unnecessary surprises
  • Travel : 10%
